Decoration day Spent the night With Mrs. Hinds & this morning took train for Alcitta Fishers at Bergen. Carrie took train at Knowlesville. Chauncey & Belle brought her down to depot & they were going to see the water works at Knowlesville. We staid at Rochester till 2:30 o’clock which gave us time to go around & saw the city some, went down street & saw the parade pass which was over an hour passing. the different societies, school children, company of Italians, besides the old soldiers & over 20 large wagons of flowers to decorate the graves of the fallen hero’s. Reached Bergen about two o’clock. Mr. Fisher went up to the house with us found Cetta well. Her son Bert’s wife had gone to Leroy on their wheels. This morning Mrs Hinds went over to her friend Mrs Reeds with me to call & then to the depot with me. It is a very warm day. 90° Cetta has a pleasant home.

Harvey Chauncey Carrie & I went to Medina & I took the train for Holley. Mrs Hinds met me at the depot in evening. went over to her brother Da(irns).

May 28th Tuesday
little warmer Carrie, Garvey & Chauncey went to Medina. Belle & I did ironing. Hattie Potter Daniel was here about 2 hours this afternoon. rec’d letter from Mrs. Lillie also Amelia Belding.

May 27th Monday
Cold & cloudy ther °48 this morning washing in afternoon Chauncey, Belle, Carrie, & I took Elizah West over to his home on the big ridge & came around by Medina & called at Mrs. Meads to see about the house renting & also at milliners to get my hat

May 26th Sunday
Very pleasant. Harvey, Carrie, Elizah West & John went to Medina & C___ & I staid home, had veal pot pie & strawberry shortcake for dinner. Wrote to Minnie Burch also Amelia Belding that we’d be there if nothing happened Wednesday night at Rochester. A little shower just at night, but cleared away just in time so Harvey, Carrie, Chauncey & I went to evening church at Millville, Belle went an hour earlier & attended the Christian Endeavors meeting & came home with us. It was a long service & very interesting. The house was crowded Mr. Keeley is a great worker
