Adaline Catherine Pickett was born January 1, 1839 in Orleans County in New York. Her parents were Daniel Pickett and Catherine Hubbell. She married Chauncey Stuart Burch on April 16, 1862 in Shelby, New York. They lived in Danbury, Conn. before moving to Nebraska in 1871. Adaline and Chauncey had six children:Daniel Pickett, Eugene Knapp, Clara Belle, Frederick Arthur, Chester Chauncey, and Luman Howard.
